One of the oldest civic societies in the country, our membership has grown in recent years and comprises some of the region’s leading architects, historians and landowners.

However, our Society – like many other charities – has been hit very hard by rising costs – from wages, to room hire for our events – and we are increasingly dependent on donations in order to be able to continue our work. With the exception of one part-time member of staff, all our work is carried out by our trustees and two small groups of volunteers.

Locally-based businesses may wish to consider supporting us by taking up one of our corporate sponsorship packages.
