Making a Legacy
The job of protecting and enhancing the environmental wealth and cultural heritage of the original City of Newcastle and County of Northumberland, encompassing the re-named North Tyneside, requires funds. You can make a difference with a legacy, however small, and know that nothing will be spent on administration. Alternatively you could leave Life Membership to your children or younger friends.
The Norhumberland and Newcastle Society needs money to fund campaigns, to lobby and to influence as well as to ensure the upkeep of the Kielder Viaduct, which we own. Most of this is done voluntarily. Another means of giving on death can be to request that mourners give donations to the Northumberland and Newcastle Society in lieu of flowers or in memoriam: this is collected, named after the deceased and provides a living memorial.
We ask that you consider the Society when reviewing your Will.
“We have lived in and enjoyed the beauty of Northumberland as well as its proximity to Newcastle with its riches and history, so different yet so inextricably linked to the County. We want to secure this for future generations to enjoy as we have. We are pleased to name the Northumberland and Newcasrle Society in our wills.” A longstanding member..
