Caseload
Through our Tyneside and County committes, we aim to monitor all planning applications, engaging in consultation on many historic buildings and seeking to promote good design, sustainability and sympathetic development. In addition we are involved in:
- Advising against superfluous road signage through out "Cut The Clutter" campaign
- Monitoring proposals for wind farm and open-cast developments in Northumberland and presenting at Public Inquiries
We are regularly consulted by local authorities and others on planning matters and the Society has recently been approached by the CPRE to discuss the latest developments in the Decentralisation and Localism Bill in order to define what impact it is likely to have on communities in the north east.
